My experience in Greece
My journey through Greece began in Santorini, where the white-washed buildings and blue-domed churches seem to cascade down to the Aegean Sea. The sunset here is unlike anything I’ve ever seen – a golden glow that sets the sky ablaze and turns the sea into liquid gold. It’s no wonder this island is a photographer’s paradise.
From the islands, I travelled to the heart of Greece’s history – Athens. Standing at the foot of the Acropolis, I was struck by the sense of time that has passed through this place. The ancient ruins tell stories of a civilisation that shaped much of the world, and capturing the Parthenon at sunset was a dream come true.

Greece is not only about its islands and history – it’s also about its vibrant culture. In Rhodes, I wandered through the medieval streets of the Old Town, where history seems to come alive at every turn. The blend of Byzantine, Ottoman, and medieval architecture made for some of the most interesting photos of my trip.
No visit to Greece would be complete without indulging in its food. From freshly grilled seafood to hearty meze dishes, every meal felt like a celebration. Capturing the colours, textures, and joy that accompany a traditional Greek feast was a highlight of my experience.
From the islands, I ventured inland to discover Greece’s deep historical roots. Visiting Delphi, once considered the centre of the world in ancient times, was like stepping into another era. The ruins, set against the backdrop of Mount Parnassus, made for some stunning shots.
eteora was another surreal experience. The monasteries perched atop massive rock pillars seem to float in the sky, and capturing these ancient structures amidst the fog and sunrise was a truly magical moment.
